Default 04 GX470 traded for 05 LS430- help!

Can anyone tell me if I made a bad financial move?? I don't think I did, but I may have.
I traded in a

04 GX470 with NAV and rear seat entertainment with 32k miles perfect condition (sticker about $49k, bought brand new)

for a

2005 LS430 perfect condition with NAV, 24k miles, modern luxury package, sport wheels and smart key (sticker about $63k)

for my truck and $2400. I did not buy it from a Lexus dealer this time. Aside from wether one likes the car/truck, etc, did I get hosed? Any input would be appreciated. I do miss the GX believe me, but it was time for a change after 3 years of ownership.
Do not need 4 wheel drive as I have another4wheel drive...

So you traded your GX for an LS plus gave them $2400? Is that what you are saying?

Yup. I gave them $2400. The LS has the modern luxury package, it is not the ultra. I had the GX paid off when this happened.

good deal, although do you get a good amount of snow where you live, because if you do, you might miss the gx lol, but the ls is a beautiful car

Basically you are saying that they lost money on that deal, so it is your gain.

I think it is a fantastic deal.

I think that what makes me nervous is that I can never really tell the value of a vehicle, ever. Regardless of wether you reference NADA, Edmunds, KBB, Auto Trader. Sometimes I think you just need to average what people pay/sell for these things. Unfortunately, this info is not really available. This is why I posted my question. Thanks!

Lets see, you now have a:

1) much smoother ride
2) better gas milage
3) one year newer than previous
3) less mileage than previous
4) better looking

I say you made a good decision as you mentioned you really didn't need a 4 wheel drive option.

Now post some pictures

I'll get some pics posted. I just tried for the first time and it says my images are too big (physical with and height or pixel???). I'll have to figure out a way to get them smaller either way and post them. Too dirty with Boston winters right now
Thanks for the good word. The ride is sweeeeeeeeeeeet and I am just strting to settle into it and get relaxed and feel great about it. Have HUGE buyers remorse with this type of stuff.
I think I need to start another thread about my rim size and the harsh ride- I'm certain that it's the 18's with the Dunlop SP5000's 245/45R18's. I don't really mind it,I guess you have to sacrafice a bit of comfort for style!

You need to get some snow tires. Mine is like a pig on ice without them. It had been awhile since I had a rear wheel drive car and I forgot that they don't get around as well.

It depends on the condition of the '05 LS430. If the LS430 has had extensive paintwork or panel replacement then the vehicle value is substantially reduced. Check all the panels (the VIN number should be on all doors, the hood, and the fenders, and have an autobody shop look at it in the light to tell you where it was painted. Assuming no panel replacement, if the GX had no damage and the LS had no paintwork, and if the LS is under warranty, then you got a good deal, assuming that the service record on the LS is complete and you are not now holding a salvage title.

Good luck.

The LS looks brand new. I would not have it any other way. Ok, there are some tiny scratches and a few rock chips along with curb rash on a wheel or two, but that stuff does not really bother me at all. The interior is perfect and it is under warranty for another year. There was a small scratch that they repaired and all service has been performed by lexus. It looks just about perfect, actually stunning a few people have said.
