Default Question about driver's room in LS430

Hi there. I'm a big guy... 6' 7" and 270lbs. I'm currently driving a 2001 GS430 and one of the things I love about it is the amount of head/legroom for the driver. It's one of the few cars out there that I'm really comfortable in. I'm considering buying an LS430 Ultra-Luxury version (either 2004 or 2005). Doing a comparison between it and my GS430 it shows the LS as having a little less headroom and legroom (about 1/2" less on both). I'm just wondering if there's anyone out there who has driven both cars and what your impressions are of the head/legroom issue. I know that there are a lot of variables that can go into comfort other than strict measurements so any insight you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!
Kirk

Welcome. Do some searching. I believe there are a few threads where some of CL's larger members complain about finding a comfortable seating position in the 04+ LS.

I'm 6'7" 265lbs and I fit in my 04 LS430 fine. The GS seemed much more cramped to me.

I may not be as big as you guys, however I did/do own both cars you are referring to. LS is definitely more comfortable and roomier. And you'll really appreciate the 12 way power seats vs. the 8 way!

I am 6' 6" 224lb and I find that I have ample head, and adequate leg room, with S class Mercedes being the winner for best leg for tall guys like us, but without the reliability and dependability of the LS430; and therefore the LS wins.
