How do you keep it on when the car isn't running?

Mine is empty - too much rattling around when cornering / stopping (I hate any noise or rattles in my car)

IMO if you don't have an Ultra already it wouldn't be worth it. You'd have to do the whole rear AC unit.

I throw a bunch of Costco's lil half bottles of water. Always good to have water. Wish they had bottles the size of a can but until then i just invert the bottles and squeeze em in there.

Aha, when I read your original post with sandwiches and candy I was thinking you had a solution. Nothing like warm mayo and melted chocolate, lol:D

had five bags of chocolate candy in mine yesterday,, did some grocery shopping and then the wife wanted to do more shopping,, into the fridge went the candy and it stayed cool all day,, was even gone from the car for an hour at one spot and the candy was still cool when we returned,, of course the white car helps,,

shoot, sounds like my cool box isn't working properly... i put chocolate inside the coolbox, went to Hershey Park, came back after several hours, and reached for the chocolate for the drive home, and it was all melted... I have a white car also...

I'd guess your cool box is just fine (make sure the air entry is open in the box); if the rear AC works, the rear cool box works. There is a distinct difference in your story and the prior one (in bold)

I have a bottle of Rogain there, too lazy to take it home.:D

I knew you would catch that DAVEGS4... but honestly the coolbox needs some solar panel power so that it can stay cool even if you do turn the power off...
I just consider my coolbox as extra storage space... only time it works is, if you go on a long trip and you put in ice cold sodas, and put the rear ac to HIGH position... otherwise it's worthless.

Here's an example of the half bottles of water I keep back there. I can stuff a whole bunch in there.
