Default e500 or ls

ok i know its last minute, i know were on lexus site, so with that being said and i have posted this on mbworld.org as well. i am choosing today between 2004 ls430 or 2005 e500 both used both warranty and bot 37000. the ls is ul package and e500 is topped out with everything. to me the e500 had lots of power similar to my old gs400, but wasnt as smooth as ls. the ls was very smooth you just never felt anything even wot.did anyone here have or has the 2 cars and can make suggestion any would be appriciated .

the LS on its worst days beats the pants off of a e500 on its best. the reliability of a 1992 LS400 would be better than that mercedes. also, I doubt the E will have all the features the ultra has. go for the LS

I considered that same choice, along with the S-500. Each time I drove the MBs I was disappointed overall - both in the feel on the road (particularly the S) and the lack of comfort in the E. I've owned a few MBs in my life (most recent was a CLK 430) so I know that they have their own "feel" but I just prefer the LS if I'm looking for comfort. And don't even MENTION reliability in the same sentence as MB. My advice is to drive both (repeatedly if needed) and buy what YOU like, though you should keep in mind the potential reliability issue with the MBs -- some people have tons of problems with them and some don't.

would also recommend the LS,, had a S500 and E,, the S turned into a cash cow,, it really got attached to the local mechanic,, S Benz was larger on the interior and drove typical MB and was nice but I sure got tired of feeding the mechanics family,,

The 2 cars are just soooo different. I must admit, I'm a sucker for the luoks of the w211 chassis E-class with 20's and a slam (must have the AMG kit).

For a responsible purchase the LS is probably a better choice. For some lusty V8 fun, the big displacement MB gets the nod.

Reliability is independent to the owner, I drive a car that everyone declares is a ticking time bomb, but I have yet to have one issue!

Good luck with the choice.

Bro, E55 or bust if you're looking at the W211 E-Class.

Otherwise -- I drive an LS430UL. Should say something...

mistake mannnnnnnnn...... i have an s500 and a ul. i wish i had 2 ul's. ridiculous maintenance issues with the benz. i just paid $3,200 to fix the brakes after the car shut down completely in the middle of the highway. 3rd time car shut down while driving because of an electrical malfunction.
