Extended Warranty 2001 LS430, worth it?
So.. 2001 UL, 58K miles.
I added the Gold coverage for $1550, which I thought was a deal.
Is it worth it? I see threads about Platinums for $1300, etc..
I have 30 days to opt out on the warranty with a $25 fee.
I will most likely hit 100,000 miles before the time limit is hit. I have a 70 mile round trip commute 6 days a week.

My 2002 LS430 was purchased two years ago with a 100,000 warranty. At last count the dealer has spent about $5,000.00 in repairs. Well worth the peace of mind. This is an expensive car to repair!

I paid $1990 for the Gold. The car needed a wheel bearing I bought it from the dealer. They did not have the part and I was an out of state buyer, so they knocked $500 of the sale price and looks like they stickered me on the warranty!! I think it was worth it for the peice of mind.
Bought it with 58k in Dec. '06. Now has 61k. Subwoofer blew 2 hours after I bought it. Not a warranty item, though.
Still unreal vehicle.
