Smog Sensor and A/C Filter Reset.. didn't know
 

I was waiting for a friend in my '02 LS and out of boredom, I pressed a few buttons.. I pressed and held the air circulation button for about 4-5 seconds and the Smog Sensor screen came up..

I then pressed and held the OFF button and "A/C Filter Reset" showed up..with a warning sound..

Didn't know... :sad:

I repeated the A/C Filter Reset procedure several times.. now, is that a bad thing?

Only if you reset the system for the a/c filter (he won't have an accurate estimate to change the filter...not the end of the world). As for the smog level, it is only for the sensitivity.

Not a bad thing at all... you just reset a timer to let you know when you need to change your filter, that’s all. All you have to do is remember to change it when it needs to be changed (that’s if you’re very picky).


Also, the smog sensor issue... that controls how sensitive the car is to changes in the outside air to switch to recirculation (only when in AUTO circulation mode).
