Default Blind Spot Fixed!

I had my 2004 LS430 into the dealer on Monday. Ever since I got it, I've been annoyed that the driver's side outside mirror has this terrible blind spot. I am short and drive with the seat almost all the way up. I have to literally lean left to see what's behind me in the side mirror. I was hoping the dealer could adjust it...when I play with the power fold-in, I can get it just right. But it doesn't STAY there...only fully extended or fully retracted.

To make a long story short, the dealer confirmed that it's working correctly and that there is nothing that can be adjusted. So I thought outside the box and added a $1.98 "stick on" mini convex mirror to the upper outside corner of the mirror. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! AMAZING! I can now glance and see if something is behind me in the (former) blind spot.

Anyone else notice this problem?

Smile Blind spot

I have, quick thinking 40! Can't beat that price with a baseball bat! Im not short but i have at least 5 times almost hit someone because of the blind spot. Its an odd blind spot in my opinion. Almost as annoying as the noise that is made when only the back windows are rolled down!!!!! Ya KNOW GOD IS GOOD, THRU STRUGGLE COMES REWARD, IF YOU MOVE TO QUICK YOU MISS YOUR BLESSING!
