E-class owner retros LS 430 HIDs! pics

I thought this was neat. I've never seen a Lexus retrofit before!

Finished retrofitting it into my Depo headlight. Sold the previous one to HighEnd (looking forward to seeing it in his Benz). Some gain, some lose, compared to the RS6. The LS430 is much wider (no problem covering 5-6 lanes) & more even, and much sharper. The RS6 is more intensive, further, nicer purple flick, and highbeam bi-xenon.

Some pix I share w/ fellow in the HID forum. First pix is picture of the LS430 projector: in the turning-housing, and with the shroud removed. I put them next to a BMW 330 projector (bi-xenon) for size reference.

I tested my headlight against the BMW 545, and it beats the Bimmer one by a long shot.

Yup. The LS projectors are probably one of the best out there now. I would get a set but I already have 2 sets of projectors waiting for retrofit. Can't afford another.

yeah true, actually lexus has the best projectors out there. the ls430 and the sc430 projects they are stupidly strong on the road

I can't believe the light coverage of the road from the Benz. Truly amazing, and a wonderful job with the LS retrofit. Definitely shows that a projector retrofit gives you more bang for your buck when it comes to HID mods :D

not all projectors, but lexus has one of the best. hidplanet people all agree. they are the brightest and widest range too :)

I am wondering....are the LS430 projectors the same as the RX330 projectors....they sure do look the same....the lighting in the rx330 is comparable with the ls430...both have similar cutoff lines and output...does anyone know for sure if they are the same?

jbbreeden 05-31-05 08:55 AM

I know the 2005 LS430 projectors swivel to follow the curve, but is the actual HID and projector the same in the 2003-2005 or did they change bulbs or projectors with the swivel option?

At least they improved the quality of the car :D

i need projectors for my HID conversion. my beam patterns are screwed up real bad. the cut off is just crazy for this retro fit HID projectors.
