Default 2004 LS430 Questions

I have been trying to find out a couple of questions regarding my 2004 LS430 (modern luxury).
(I posted one of them on the audio/video section). I asked the service department and called Lexus - but amazingly it is difficult to get a concrete answer - most answers are "not sure". I searched the forums but could not find the answers - if they are there, I apologize)

1) Does the car, which has the bluetooth interface, also has a built in (or on back windshield) antenna?
(my GSM phone has a holder that accepts an external antenna connection)

2) Any way to disable the sensor so that the NAV interface works when the car is in movement (without taking away functionality?

(I know the safety issues, but I also often have a passenger). I asked this back in '99 when I owned a GS400 but never got a concrete answer.

3) Is there a comprehensive list of the NAV voice commands for the 2004 (there is a limited one on the manual and on the help button on the NAV).

4) Is there a time delay adjustment for the folding outside mirrors. I love the feature, but would like them to remain unfolded while I get out of the car to see traffic.

Thanks

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...adid=57257.... In this thread i never did say that the speed pulse wire is between the amp and navigation ECU in the trunk. To put a switch between the two would require you route the wires up to the front or use a spdt relay at the back and energize it using a switch from the cab.

This could be done with a 555 timer circuit like the one used for the speed pulse bypass answer in the #2 answer above. It wouldn't be easy as the retractable motor is wired directly to the door ECU with only a + and - lead.

Thanks

Thanks LS007

Now I need to fing a good shopt to do this for me in Los Angeles (any suggestions?)
While I can build a PC - I would not touch the wiring on the LS....

But it is a very smart solution........

I wonder why Mercedes, BMW and Accura have no problem allowing input after all the warnings and disclosure - yet Lexus will not. The Accura dealer seven makes this a selling point on their new TL

Yes, I must admit that the freakin' NAV thing drives me crazy. I probably am at risk of an accident MORE by pulling over to program that thing. I HATE the lock out. My portable GARMIN unit has an override. It's not clear to me if this can be done on the Lexus or not. If so, can someone clearly state how.

I have a complete list of the vooice commands I can send to you, but it really doesn't matter as the voice system is not very accurate.

Default Voice Commands

If you don't mind, please just attach that list as a file to your next message. That way we all can access the list and you won't have to send a bunch of e-mails.

Here it is. This is a Microsoft Word file in outline format. The actual commands are on the third level. The first two levels are just the way I organized the commands.
