Default 04 LS is a beautiful machine

I went to dealer yesterday to go to the parts dept, and while I was there I checked out a 04 LS that was on the showroom floor. I dont know if these cars have always been this nice (I'm not a big fan of the 01-04 styling), but that car is beautiful.

Exterior-The headlights and bumper in the front look great, and I think they changed the rake of th grille. Something I didnt notice that the salesman pointed out to me was the fact that the tailpipes have been brought out to the bumper now (i guess before they just went under it). The car was a Navy Blue, that had indigo in it!!! It was sooo deep and shiny, and it kinda changed colors based on lighting/angle.

Interior- There is probably not much new here, but I never sat in one to know, this interior is great. The headliner material is especially nice (not sure about keep it clean, though). The interior was ivory with a light colored wood. The coolest thing was buttons that allow the driver to adjust the passenger seat without reaching over!! Talk about a real limo!

This car only had the Navi package, and it still a nice place to be!! I think the price was around 63k or so, it did not have the performance package either.

If I like the car just much from looking at it and sitting in it, IMAGINE if would have actually drove it!! LOL
I know what my next Lexus will be!

I hear you man. The 2004 LS430 is a work-of-art. A 2004 LS430 with 20's, coilovers, and a simple body kit would be flawless. Hopefully, within' the next few days, I will be able to test drive one.

Don't forget the giant wing!

You can't be a fast and furious guy without a giant wing!

nevermind the fast and furious morons who put wings and decals and lower every friggen car the get their dirty mitts on. I drove an 03 'stripped' ls and it has ruined me for every other car I have driven since. sat in the showroom a month ago while waiting to drive an 04 gs [forget it, its not much more than a gussied up camry] and the 04 ls while not much different than the 01-03 is just heaven to sit in. it was the burgundy color with ecru leather and walnut wood trim. its huge but damn its a terrific car, much more impressive to me than the s classes I used to lust after. if all goes according to plan I will have an 02 ultra in february of 05. but you can bet it wont have stupid dubs on it or any other crap!.

The exterior is a giant improvement over the 01-03 model!!
I wouldn't mind getting one after the GS.

Guys, I really think that the S500/600 beats my LS on looks. Consumer Reports doesn't seem to like MB much though, the LS wins hands down in most categories (maybe not performance, but who cares about that in the Lux category [unless you're in the Mafia]).

I don't think the LS is that......'badass' , as per the Benz.

Hi

I did not buy my first Lex on looks, nor my second one, ENGINEERING, This is why you cannot just test-drive a LEX you have to own one. Every engineering type will tell you this. We don’t care how it looks we would still buy one for the engineering of the car. I really don't like posting options like this because I really don't want to many to own a Lex. The less on the road the better for me. Can you imagine if all the Cad and Lincoln guys figure it out?

My dealer actually gave me an LS430 for 2 days to see if I liked it. The car was beautiful and drove like a dream come true. It was so quite and handled the road like a mattress on wheels...

that is hot....I think that an LS, an SC and an LX should grace all of our garages (CL enthusiasts).

The Sporty Car for the weekends and Hot Dates with the S/O
The Luxury Sedan for Mon, Tues, Thurs
The Luxury Truck for Wed, Friday ----get your hump on (hump day) and pick up the fellas for happy hour, which leads you back to the Sporty Car for the nice lady you met at Happy Hour (single folks)

Something like that
