Greetings ya'll! I'm currently searching for another LS430 to buy as my last one was totaled by a deer. I'm looking to spend around $10k for the correct car
I've just been having issues looking through facebook and craiglist so many beat up examples and very hard to find a solid owner willing to part ways with such a good car understandably.
I figured id ask on her seeing's as we are fanatics about this model and particularly meticulous. I live in Minnesota and am more than willing to travel. if anybody here has any leads
please shoot me a message. on here or leave a comment thank you -Gavin.
Mine should be up for sale in a couple of months. I just bought a new family car and can’t keep the LS unfortunately.
It’s a silver and gray leather 05 ML w/156k. It’s been a real gem. No issues and all the electronics work just fine. Only mods I have done are:
1. GSF control arm bushings
2. RS-R Best-i coilovers
3. Grom BT audio
Previous owner had the timing belt done in 2013. I’ve been meaning to do the 2nd TB with water pump, but haven’t had time. I have all the parts, genuine Toyota/Lexus and a Denso radiator. Whenever I get that done it will be up for sale.
Check Craigslist in the Seattle and Portland areas. Good looking examples pop up all the time out here. Eg., now, in the Portland area there is a private party selling a pre-facelift one, looks great in the photos, new TB etc., with under 90K miles asking $ 11K. Needs a tilt motor but heck one this old will probably need something or another. High likelihood the car will be completely rust fee if it has been out here since new.
I have a 2005 Lexus LS ML for sale. Blue Onyx Pearl. 164,000 Miles. Southern car its whole life. Timing belt, pulleys, valve cover gaskets and all the important stuff done recently. If you want more info send me a message.

These vehicles were produced to such consistency that imho they will all need the exact same repairs over time.
It's amazing how many of us use Costco batteries. I've continued to do so even though there's no more free replacement warranty--because they don't fail prematurely. I even special ordered a flooded lead acid H8 for my BMW at $124.99 as stores don't seem to carry anything but AGM these days, and the BMW has to be registered (like for like 90 Ah, but if AGM or a different capacity, coded which I don't have software to do). 2 local auto parts have the battery for $105 more!!
Now that my car had the hard downshift issue I would assume all will and would want that addressed when buying used. Radiator too as mine went 2025 and I replaced with OE (an AZ dealer was 40% off list, free shipping, no tax). Nice car.
edit p.s.Costco here and also in the LS430
