I bought a set of headlight protection film from Weathertech. I have installed Weathertech's headlight film on a MW Mk7 headlight and it was fairly straighforward. I had a heck of a time installing the LS430 film. I could not get the film to stretch and seat properly on the lateral edge of the lens. I had to get a replacement film because I botched the installation. I plan on having the film installed professionally. I believe the film is a 3M product and it is fairly stout. Has anyone tried DIY installing headlight film and are there any tricks to seating the film? I used baby shampoo in a sprayer, a hairdryer, and struggled. The VW headlights were a breeze to put on. are the LS430 more curved ? Maybe you need a heat gun instead of a hairdryer
