Smile Need help finding compatible Headunit and quality dash kits

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but after searching for a couple hours I have yet to find any concise answers as to which head units will be compatible(plug and play) and which units will require a new amp etc. for my non-NAV, non ML, 2003 LS430. I have seen some suggestions regarding the beatsonic SLA23 Kit however it doesn't seem that they make the dash kit anymore and the Metra ones are always misaligned or off color in my experience. I was planning on installing a Pioneer App radio 4 (SPH-DA120) so if anyone has suggestions as to kits or things to look out for it would be greatly appreciated.

Have you considered this route? They seem to be a great upgrade and very affordable. Seems like everyone who goes this path loves it!

I went this route when my stock amp blew. Running a JL amp for mids and highs and another JL amp for my sub. I only use streaming so no need for a cd space. It’s an option.

The Beat Sonic SLA-23A is for the ML system, you want the SLA-24A but it's out of production.

Buy this for the mounting hardware: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp...on/j1128785354

Then check out: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...ll-w-pics.html

And then get an aftermarket amp and bypass the factory Pioneer amp.

I have the BS kit but if I could do it over, I'd run an amp. Too much work to tear the car apart again. See lots of people on the GX group running the Chinese systems but it seems like they are hit or miss in the quality. The BS kit is OEM quality in its fit/finish/appearance.
