Hey guys,

Please help. I have 2 ls430s a 2004 and 2005. The 2005 works fine and the 2004 has an issue. I want to take the ecu from the good car. But how can I program the new ecu to the car? Appreciate the help guys!!

Let us know how this goes, i am very curious about what is involved in the process. i believe there is coding in the ECU / Immobilizer / Keys, and possibly more

 

The stuff has anti theft but your reprogramming the ecu to comform with the anti theft stuff. I have physically done it that is why I gave him the post above it is from a lexus manual that tells you how to do it, it's incredibly easy.

 

Make sure both ECU’s have the same part number. I am not sure what your it was, but in that time frame the transmission went from 5 to 6 speeds, so the ECUs, are not interchangeable. Have you considered sending the ECU to have it serviced? They can add horsepower, and fuel mileage. Make sure none of the capacitors are leaking, and make many other changes for pretty reasonable price and you’ll find it was worth every penny.
