Overdrive?
I just read this online while I was looking for an old Laycock overdrive transmission.:
2. Electronic overdrive kits: These kits modify the existing transmission control unit (TCU) to unlock a hidden overdrive gear. This option is typically less expensive than installing a gear vendor but may not be available for all Lexus models.
Can anyone shed any light on this? Can it be applied to SC 430 or LS 430?
