I have coolant in car what i've notice is a humming sound like a whinning noise coming from the front of car. the other day the temp hand went up just a little but went down back to normal now the fans are running more often now then usual. Could it be the radiator or thermostat.

Something else might be going on.. My 2005 LS430 was serviced at a Toyota Dealership for years and still encountered a blown head gasket just months after a radiator coolant service job there; see https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...-my-ls430.html

More likely a failed fan.

Start the car. Either warm or hot and turn on AC. Bith fans should operate if i recall. if both not on, let the car warm up by driving to op temp then stop and check fans with AC on. Both fans should operate.

the fan control module on the fan assembly also can fail but i think less common than high mileage fans. We had a similar failure. The colling non-AC fan failed. Was turning slowly but not fast enough to cool. AC on kept temps from peaking but still higher than midline.

Fan replacement is easy and not expensive to DIY. I think under $200 for a comeplete assembly and cheaper if you just swap a motor. We just replace the entire assembly.

Good luck.
