Coilovers

Hi everyone, I've been reading a lot on this forum but I was just wanting to hear newer opinions. Personally I drive a LS400 1997 and I want to lower it but I don't want my exhaust dragging across the ground and I also want to be somewhat tucked.

I saw that megan coilovers and or bc coilovers are the way to go. I was wondering if there were any preferences. I was also wondering if bc coilovers are the preference, should I either go with extreme low bc coilovers or the normal ones.

Also are there any suggestions for spring rates? I've seen 12k fronts /10k rears and I've also seen people saying 16k fronts / 12k rears.
Any help is appreciated and apologies if this thread is redundant.

the same posts that you will find elsewhere in the form will remain the same. BC and megan are the only few options still out there to my knowledge.

if you want tucked, you have to be significantly low = exhaust dragging! so you cannot have both unless you run larger wheels to exaggerate the tuck.

12k to 16k rates are negligible (hard to tell from each other) on such a heavy car like the LS so it will come down to ride comfort and how low you really want to go.
but to split hairs, go softer if you want a slightly more comfy ride, but going softer you shouldn't go too low. standard BC coils are 12/10 which will just be fine overall. extreme low will be 16/12.

I appreciate the help! Since you said bigger wheels would tuck, would 18 inch wheels be able to tuck or would I have to go even bigger? I was planning to buy new wheels too but if its bigger than 18s then I feel like its a bit excessive.
