Default Tein springs

I was wandering the net looking for suspension parts for my RA40 Celica and happened by Tein's site. (Hoping to adapt the 82-85 Supra strut...but anyway)

I see that they have a standardized spring selection available. I haven't taken any measurments from the LS...looking at what is available as far as uncompressed lengths and spring rates, it looks to be perfect for a custom configuration. Provided it fits the spring mounts of the Lexus.

Prices are good too, straight are $50 while tapered are $65.

I'd love to put some HA's in but getting above that $1K mark is a wallet ride. I still want to eat and all.

Thoughts?

I just checked the dimensions on the Eibach Pro Kit springs for the LS. The inside diameter dimensions will fit with the tapered ones but the free length of the springs is too short. From stock, it looks to be about a 5" drop if using the 250mm ones. If one wanted to modify the upper spring mounts, the straight types will work and there are a variety of lengths and compressions to choose from.

Any of this could work for those willing to doing some welding to re-position the spring mounts. Given we can buy springs off the shelf, why hassle unless you really want the challenge. Oh well.
