Default What can i expect to pay for a LS430

Hi,
I currently have a 2002 Toyota Camry xle fully loaded except for navi and heated seats. I was wondering if you think i should trade it in for a 2001 ls430.
If yes, what package do you recommend, like should i go for the ultra luxury or custom luxury.
In the ultra luxury package, what features do you have that you never use. I dont wanna spend extra money for ultra luxury and find out they are useless features or they break easily.
thanks
Oh and how much should i expect to pay for one.
I am thinking 37-40k but plz correct me if i am wrong, i am also looking for certifled vehicles, and if you think i shouldnt get a certifled vehicle plz comment here.
thanks

Well, I mean obviously people here, and personally people anywhere would say to trade in your camry for an LS430....the cars are in completely different leagues! If you have the cash to upgrade to an LS, by all means go for it! Since you are looking into preowned, you might not be able to be too picky with the options, etc. the low 40s sounds about right for an 2001 nicely done LS430. Certified Pre-Owned is always a good idea and you have more peace in the back of your mind, although these cars are the most reliable on the road.

Very nicely done LS at a good price.

I just bought a 2002 LS430 w/ Nav and Lev for only $42,000.00. Get this, it has 6,300 miles on it and the owner is a neighbor of mine who is 79 years old. Btw, average wholesale on a 2001LS430 is $39,000.00. That figure represents what a dealership would be willing to pay for a base LS430 as a trade.
Forget the ultra luxury package, too many toys and if you decide to lower the car it'll be a BIG pain in the *** because of the air suspension. Just get Nav and Lev, you won't regret it.

Do i have to buy from a dealer or do you think ill be fine buying from a private party like ebay.
Im kinda worried because these private parties dont offer warrenties. I know these are the most reliable cars in the world but things could happen.

Do you think if i face my dealer with the wholesale price info they will be able to lower the price a few thousand?
Thanks

You can do whatever you want. I would. I would tell them that my uncle or some immediate family member works for Lexus and that he told me average wholesale on a 2001 LS430 is $38,900.00. What have you got to lose? I highly doubt that they are going to sell it to you for that price btu, it makes them aware that you know what your talking about. I would offer them $1k over wholesale and that's it. I used to be a floor manager for Lexus. If you PM me, I can give you my number so that I can fill you in. Take care, Mike.
