noticed this about the gauges

noticed this about the gauges
after driving the car and turning the key from on to acc for a bit, i noticed the coolant and fuel gauges don't go all the way back down, and stay there for a few seconds even after turning the key all the way off... if there any particular reason for this?
i just found this slightly curious... the fuel gauge mirrors this movement
