well there's some potential good news on the horizon... it would seem that the community is overwhelmingly in favor of not putting turbos on the car, so tavarish has (for now at least) retracted that idea unless the vote says otherwise

Tavarish will never get to it. It’ll rot in the back of the garage. (1) there’s no performance he can do that willl make it interesting to viewers and (2) the claim to fame of hitting 1 million miles has been done. The car is over. It USED to be a thing. Now it’s a trophy.

I’m not saying i deserve it more than anyone else, I’m saying I didn’t get it. I don’t have trendy social media clout, by choice..... I don’t vlog......but in the car world online I’ve been around. I usually get a response. With respect to his new toy, i spent 15 years building and moderating this place and if he wants advice from folks that have been doing these mods for decades he is gonna have to be responsive. We ARE the community of Lexus.

Since he wants to boost it, he’s going to have to go to the SC 400 forum to get everything he needs to know.

Tavarish listened to his subscribers and will restore the car and not blow it up with some cheap turbo kit. I guess TST will have to get another engine for a coffee table lol.

this is good news indeed... the whole turbo idea was silly

btw i love 'the couch rocket' lol, i've often referred to it as a V8 sports couch... i wish cars could go back to being fast and squishy, idk why absolute comfort stopped being a priority at some point

That is good news, would have been a shame to put turbos on that thing. Incredible testament to the durability of these cars.
