What would that accomplish?

That said need to see records of all rubber being replaced within last 4 years, otherwise no

My brother was considering that exact car. We passed on it. One reported accident and car originated from New York.

2000 with 65k is better then 1990 with 30k! truth be told it doesnt really look like it only has 65k on it

New York is a rust belt?

Yeah compared to the other low mileage cream puffs posted here recently this one definitely doesn't appear to be on same level.

The car doesn't look like it was garage kept at all, headlights are very yellowed meaning more UV exposure. Leather also looks very dried up and not supple and more wear than what 65k mileage should have, particularly on the steering wheel. Car was probably street parked outside in NY and saw a lot of idling in traffic for its entire life as one member had said it came from NY which would explain the low miles.

I bet the front and rear bumpers have a lot of little cracks and chips in the paint you can't see in these 10ft photos the owner took.

Here is the interior of my 149k LS, same color ext/int looks much better than this car due to mine being garaged and probably hwy driven vs. city driven with more frequent short trips that driver was into and out of car more often..

Definitely suspicious. Mileage doesn't match the car's wear on exterior and interior.

Stereorob 05-15-19 06:45 AM

nah. it could be legit, just hard miles like Losiracer2 said. i can think of plenty of low mile older cars that are daily drivers just for very short distances. for example, theres a guy that comes in to my dealership with a 1999 GS300 with 48k miles. OG owner, and works very close to home, but the car is still a little wore out and looks more like a car with 170k on it. low miles are not always a good thing. means it either sat for ages, or was driven hard street miles its whole life. my mom for example, has a 1992 Jeep Cherokee sport with 52k on it. bought it new and drives it regularly, but has never taken it on the highway and only uses surface streets to go everywhere. its also never been garaged. it looks/feels as wore out and tired as any 25 year old car with 300k on the clock.

NY is absolutely a rust belt state. i wouldn't want a car from there. my 95 spent the first 10 years of its life in Jersey. now even though its 15 years later, the entire undercarriage is rotted and it was pristine when i got it 6 years ago. no matter how well its cared for, the rust monster will get it eventually if it has a history of being in the rust belt.

Dont assume just because this is a .com site you don’t have many users from other countries.

And the above are examples that low mileage and pristine examples are plenty outside of the US. It’s not rare at all.
