Friend of mine is swapping an engine from LS400 (1990) to a Volvo S90 and we have a little problem with the motor control, since the ECU seems to be social type. It’s connected to pretty much everything else.

Currently we trying to solve the ABS.
1. Does anyone know why ABS and ECU are connected?
2. Can we just disconnect the wires and have the normal engine function?
