Default Tips 98 Lexus LS 400

Hello, I just picked up a 1998 Lexus LS 400 with 210,000 Miles on it. Anyone have any tips for things to take car of around this mileage? Started doing the full tune up, brakes, spark plugs, filters ext.

Just seeing what people advise i should do for preventive maintenance.

Thanks,

Aside from standard stuff like oil, plugs, brakes and such, take a look at what sort of service history the car has and go from there. When, if ever has the trans, rear end or cooling system ever been serviced? Has the timing belt been changed, and if so, when. You can get a good idea as to the health of the engine by doing a compression. 178psi or more is standard compression and you should have no less than 142psi. Along with that, there shouldn't be more than a 14psi difference among cylinders.
Some things to look at with these cars as they get up in mileage, especially in areas with harsher seasonal changes might be suspension bushings, tie-rod boots and the such. Good luck man, when maintained these cars will last forever.
Mine recently hit 225,000 miles and is showing no signs of stopping anytime soon.
