Flap Above Mirror 98 LS

Whats the flap that comes down above the rear view mirror?
1998 Lexus LS400

I'm pretty sure it's a sun visor for when the sun is in the middle above the mirror. My parents' 1990 LS400 had one.

Yup its to block the sun when it's shining in that annoying spot above the mirror but below the headliner. My dad's LS also had it.
