Thats incredible. Had 800 miles on it in 2011 when this guy got it
If I had an extra 10,000 I would grab this and store it for ice cream runs in 2050

They are often people who stop driving due to health issues or age but keep their vehicles thinking they might want to or be able to drive in the future. I've seen this happen numerous times. The parking garage at the "senior living" facility where my parents live are filled with nice cars that are rarely or never driven including one owned by a 106 year old resident.

It breaks my heart to see these classics abused. In fact, I have started a 1989-2000 LS400 orphanage. If anyone would like to donate one of these well kept lonely in need of loving care
beautys, I will gladly accept. I will send you a yearly pic. of it's updated care and improvement.

And there's that guy who knowingly had the last "undiscovered" example of the twenty-nine all aluminum 1955 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing sports cars stored untouched in his garage for 40 years. The car had been a college graduation present from his parents. He knew that it was worth millions of dollars but he didn't want to bother digging it out of his garage: https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2011/0...ate-barn-find/
I never saw if he sold it but I do know that another restored all aluminum 1955 Gullwing sold for $4.62 Million in 2012: https://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/22/...rd-4-62-milli/

Also on this eBay car, most people would be worried about high age with low miles. But for this one, it says he bought it in 2011 with 800 miles on it, and has been putting about 2500 miles a year on it since then, and nothing has broken. BTW, this is not a surprise to me to not have failures. But if you're a believer in old low mileage things being time bombs (I'm not a believer), I'd think that the bomb would have gone off some time since 2011.

Situations like this are far more common that most could imagine. As I reported on this forum several years ago, I saw a number of bizarrely low mileage luxury cars including Lexus LS being advertised at bargain prices on a social club bulletin board in an affluent part of Scottsdale in around 2006.

JUST passed on opportunity to buy (and sell, of course) a 1955 Cadillac 2 door hardtop that was TRADED IN by its original owners on a new Cadillac 2 towns over... yes, they are out there. Oh, to be in the right place at the right time on one of these LSs though... i'd be happy with a well maintained 200,000 mile one owner. every one I see is either $10,000 like this one or its been through 5 owners in the ghetto. I have wanted a 1LS since I was a kid. Almost got a 1993 in 2003 but being that my parents had to give their blessing (their insurance and all) I ended up with a pearl white/silver two tone camry

Me too calling BS. The tint gives it away. I just have a "feeling" about it.
If I found a supposed mint low miler, I'd say for that price I want all the factory window stickers, that go in the trash when the tint goes on. And what else was damaged when it went on. That alone makes it uncollectable and the only reason for spending that on one now. Because only stupid would buy a super mint and low miler and drive it, other wise known as trashing it.
