The car is supposed to have Toyota Red coolant in it. Get a Denso radiator off RockAuto and buy some Toyota Red Long Life coolant and replace it.

Kal,one thing Im learning is this car doesnt like you changing things from what they say to do.Keeping it stock (minus suspension and cooling mods) seems to be the smart move.

One thing this car loves is draining 2 qts tranny fluid with each oil change and tranny will love you forever. And that is using the toyota fluid or the mobil 3309 which is what the toyota is rebranded from.Weve seen some total tranny freakouts from adding tranny fluid treatments.

I heard from a Toyota tech once every 3 oil changes or 15k would be sufficient enough. Every oil change is a bit excessive.

All normal stuff for crap plastic engine parts. I've had the same happen to the plastic radiator tanks before, the whole hose nipple just disintegrates into small chunks of junk, and of course leaks out like crazy. All just another case of engineering regression and make it cheap. In the old days at least on American cars all the parts where metal.
And if it was a small radiator leak you just soldered it up. .
