With these cars being 18 to 28 years old, it really comes down to what you think they're worth. If that thing is rust free, starts strong, has cold a/c and runs smooth I would probably pay 5k. A 2000, in that color, with that interior, and under 150k miles... that't hot.
I'd probably offer 3500 cash to start and let that simmer with them for a few days. Just my two cents.

cant click on the link, but as ethanS said,, these cars are old now and most have been neglected for years. really clean examples that are in perfect working order are getting really hard to find now, and command a premium. i paid $4400 for my 95 when i got it 5 years ago, as an absolutley immaculate 1 owner example, and $3800 for my 2000, as an immaculate 1 owner example. did i overpay? maybe. but i didnt mind considering how hard they are to find now in that kind of shape.

In the classic car world they always tell you to buy the best conditioned car you can afford, its waaaay cheaper in the long run.

It was a clean car, looks as it already sold, not sure I would have paid 5 grand for it,might have made an offer. Then again, this inflation that the gov says doesnt exist seems to be hitting the used car market. In fact, used car prices are up,a whole group of people that dont like the new small stressed engines and the self driving 'aids' are pushing prices up.

Maybe we should be raising our acceptable selling price expectations up too?
