What does it say in the manual? What does it say on the little dipstick in the pump? Dexron II likely has not been made and not available for many years now as far as I know.

The progresssion of Dexron products (II, III, G , H, IV, etc) happened as transmissions changed throughout the years. The power steering components are a much simpler hydraulic system so II or III really doesn't matter. Most of us here use Mobil 1 synthetic ATF.
