Default Vin meaning JT8UF11E6L0034477 ?

I am just curious what each number in vin number represents and what the vehicle production number is compared to the total sold 1990. Early 1990 late 1990 model ? Thanks 2hero

last 5 is your build number. it was #34,477, so im guessing its probably jan or feb 90. mine is #43,469 with a build of july 90. one of the very last.

first 90 i has was #247. early build. august 1989 car. part of the original test batch 500. ill never find one that early again. wish i could.

yes, infact there were more 90s built than any other year! they are only rare on the roads now due to age, that they were cheap cars 15 years ago and most were hooned to death, clapped out and crushed years ago.

they are a rare site here atleast in my area. really any ls400 is

On the last 5 digits, mine are 58769, on my '91, bought from the dealer in Dec 1990.

My understanding (looked into it a while ago, noticed this issue and never got an answer) is that less than 58,000 were built in '91.

So it makes me think that 5-digit number isn't exactly the build sequence like it is for most cars.

Still wondering what the answer is on this.
