1999 Ls400 tire help/suggestions
I got some new to me wheels and am having trouble finding tires that I like. The wheels are staggered 18x8(F), 18x9(R)
the tires I want to run are 225/40 front and 235/40 rear.the problem is that the tire sizes I want don't meet OEM load rating. I found 245/40 works for the rear but am stuck on the front. Now my question is will I be ok running g the set up I want? Is it safe enough to daily drive seeing as the load for the front would be 5 points lower and the rear 2 points lower. I've looked far and wide around Google for the past week and can't really find a straight answer.
Thanks!

We see this discussion come across now-then, this has not been an issue posted on the forum that I've read. Most of us don't load our cars to reach that maximum spec in the first place. As you are aware stretching and using a lower load rating can be a risk. My interpretation is that there are rubbing issues that going with a 10mm wider F-R tire isn't going to clear the fenders?
