Default Swapped my passenger seat and now no power

I have a 96 and recently swapped in a 99 front seat into the car. I used the old rail and motor(which worked) and once I plugged up the harness I can’t get the seat to adjust, however the buckle light that comes on when the door opens is working. Any ideas?

the wiring is all wrong between the 96 and the 99 plugs, it will have to be rewired, no side air bags.

Can I swap in the harness from my 96 seats?

Unfortunately the control unit is not compatible and only swapping the harness is useless.

Anyone have a wiring diagram or guidance for swapping and powering the seat?

You're probably better off finding a '95-96 seat. '97 and '98-00 had side impact airbags. The seat motors in '98+ cars also work very differently as the body control systems are totally different as far as I know.

If your old seats work fine but are in rough shape cosmetically you may be able to consider swapping just hte leather seat skins, but it's not a small amount of work.

They are totally different seats, totally different motors, totally different signals. You could theoretically embark on a project of making the 99 seat work, but it would be much, much more difficult and expensive than just getting the right part.
