Oil pan for 96 LS supposed to be flat?

Distance between oil pickup and oil pan.
1996 LS400
My oil pan appears to be gently bowed up in the middle-ish, like someone started to jack up the engine using the pan.
Everything else seems to be fine, so I really don't feel like playing with fipg if I don't have to.
Does anyone have an idea how close the oil pickup is to the pan? I can't seem to get good information.
Thanks!

I guess the real question becomes-
Does anyone with a 96 know if your stock pan is completely flat on the bottom? At first I thought for sure someone bowed it with a jack, but after further observation I'm not 100 percent sure it's even supposed to be completely flat.
Is a stock oil pan on a 96 supposed to be completely flat? Here are a couple shots of mine.

I'm very sorry for the double post, but the way I posted before was not optimal for results. I'll let that one die. Sorry!
Anyway, my oil pan's not flat on the bottom. Is yours? Here are pictures of mine. Is this normal for a 96 stock pan?

Is yours a 2nd gen?
I ask because while I know the first gen pans are flat, a picture of the famed 900,000 mile 96 LS shows that it's pan may be bent like mine (the shot's not perfectly clear).
I know it's possible for that one to also be damaged, but it looks to be bent in exactly the same way, which leads me to the possibility that maybe it's supposed to be like that. Too bad it's the only picture I could find. Hopefully you have a first gen or something and mine's not really bent.

Does anyone know the torque spec for the oil pan boltson a 96? I'd hate to techinfo it for such a simple repair.

I have a 97 and my pan looks exactly like that so yes it is normal and was not accidentally jacked up.
I would leave the pan alone unless you have a leak you want to take care of, or are still concerned with the pickup.
remember these were put on by robots at a factory so you will need extra care applying FIPG by hand.

I have no other issues and don't want to drop the pan for no reason. If that's how it's supposed to be, then I have no concern over the oil pickup, as I'm sure it's fine.
I will seal up that scrape on the side to quell any rust-through, but if the pan's supposed to look like that, I'm happy to leave it alone.
Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to hear.
