Default Massive service - australia help

Hi guys. Question for the Aussie members. About to do a big ovehaul. Rotors, caps, leads, timing, water pump, mounts vac lines ,exhaust, Any idea where the best place to get these in aus would be? I can find a bunch of places in the USA but no real sellers in AUS which is odd because the cars are quite popular here.

Overhaul is the wrong term to use. Sounds more like a major tune up with some preventative maintenance items.

Oh that's all just the beginning . I'm replacing all the things that I can and putting in a boxed up boost ready engine from bullet here in Qld along with a 5 speed swap from ezygee customs here on the gold coast. Moving the battery to the trunk to make way for a single turbo setup in June 2018. The engine doesn't come with the leads, lines, hoses etc so I need to find as much new stuff as possible.

I hope you don't have any surge problem doing that. A long power line often causes surge voltage problems because the distance makes the inductance and the big di/dt causes the fly-back pulse which is the similar problem with the jump start. Without a good countermeasure such as a surge eliminating circuit, you'd have serious problems.

I'm not doing it. Moving it when we replace the ecu with a standalone unit.

all up it's about 15k over the next 18 months and about 8 weeks with the car off the road.

I think ordering every thing at once from Japan is the best bet right now.

having a low mileage car is great, but also want many things were never serviced as it never reached the service intervals to replace them. If I wasn't going FI I would have gotten a much higher mileage car with more services completed

I'll do a build log with as much as I do myself and get George at ez to take photos too. He has a facebook page with lots of his projects.

it's a long build but structured in a way to ensure I can have minimal downtime.

Using a pre made kit to do this job. Comes with everything needed to run with the new ECU. Ill see if I can find a link to the actual kit. IIRC its about 700aud but worth the extra for less hassle.

Last week I was about to sell this thing and get an Aristo but I just couldn,t go through with it. The more builds that get on the road, the more support we might get from manufacturers.

Been at work on the exhaust. Hi flow cats to 2.5 to an X pipe. Thats where Im up to. From there it will be 2.5 back to 2 sports mufflers and out, leaving as much space for a cold side return as possible. I wish there were headers readily available to the LS.
