Why am I having trouble pumping gas into my 1991 ls 400
1991 ls 400 is having problems accepting gas into the tank sometimes it will pump then shut off. I have tried clearing out my charcoal filter lines with compressed air, the last time i blasted air through my line that goes from the canister to the gas tank gas come spewed out of the gas cap.

That's odd because the pump shutting off has nothing to do with the car, it's the nozzle that tells the pump to shut off. When the nozzle is submerged in gas it opens up a valve telling the pump to shut off because it's near capacity (more or less). I think your gas gauge is broken and your tank is more full than you thought.
