Default What to do with the worn steering wheel

I've own my '93 LS for a year and a half now and have gotten just about everything fixed. One of the remaining issues has been the worn out leather on the steering wheel. So far every donor car I've found has the same issue. I'm reluctant to use a wrap and hope someone has another option. Has anyone used a later model year as a donor and if so what did that entail to install or how maybe a after market product. I'd love to re-wrap it if at all possible.

Many later models would fit. The issue would be likely losing the airbag. If it really is annoying and you love you car, get a quote from an upholsterer to re-wrap it.

I second moarpower says. I have also been considering re-wrapping my steering wheel. Check out this video on how to reupholster a steering wheel. It doesn't look too hard honestly, just a little time consuming.

I think I've seen that video before. I would venture to say, he's done a few recovers before. I wonder what kind of fabric he's using. Maybe I'll pick-up a donor wheel and give it a go.

I say give it a shot! I've been wanting to do this to my steering wheel, but I don't have the guts to cut my old one off.
