Default 1995 Lexus blows fuse #8

Fuse #8 blows repeatedly. Even if I put a 20 amp in, it blows immediately. It controls my ac/heater and radio system. Can someone out there please help figure this out?

Are you trying to start a fire? I can't believe you actually installed a double amperage rated fuse. That is just crazy to me. That defeats the entire purpose of fuses.

Fuse #8 has nothing to do with your ac or radio. Fuse #8 is labeled IGN and is an ignition on fuse for power to the ECM, airbags, and a few other things. Exactly what fuse are you talking about here?

I had the same problem. Some one who owned the car before me, had inserted a bras blade shape metal into the fuse box cavity for taking power connection for something. I found the connecting wire had exposed spot which was touching the body of the car that use to blow the fuse. I think the fuse u have problem with is connected to the climate control. Try to check the back wires of your climate control and look for exposed wire. Keep in mind the same climate control fuse also works for the Stereo, if you have installed after market stereo then check for exposed wire in the stereo harness as well.

yep, a constantly blown fuse means there is a constant short somewhere!!! as already stated check for exposed wires, or shorts to the chassis or bare metal.
