1994 LS400 - What is this ****?
I have only owned my '94 LS400 for 3 days, so forgive my ignorance here. My car didn't have the Owners Manual, but I found the sections on Lexus's site - and the sections are pretty vague, especially when it comes to Instrument Panel controls.. Anyway, while reaching for the hood release tonight, to the right of the "diagnosis" port, I found a **** similar to a volume control with a on-off click at the low end. I have NOT attempted to see what it does. It is not marked, nor is it in the Owners Manual found online. Does anyone know what this **** is for? I am attaching a photo... Thank you!

Yep!
I've read over it when I was looking something up in the manual. If I'm correct you can turn that beeping sound on and off with that.
I can look it up again if u don't have the car manual with the car

Thank you for the replies! I would be happy to test it, but sadly the in-key remote isn't working right now, I think the battery in it is dead.. I replaced the battery with a spare I had but that battery is probably dead too.. LOL. Coolest remote EVER. I hope I can make it work. Right now that volume control is set to OFF, maybe because the remote doesn't work.. Where was that covered in the owners manual? Seems like the one I found on the Lexus site isn't complete. I need to find a complete copy of it.. LOL. Thanks again!

Yeah, my 91 Celsior does not have one and doesn't make any noise when the doors are locked/unlocked (to my disappointment.) My chassis code does start with UCF11 though, I thought that was supposed to indicate the changes made for the 93 year or whenever that was.
