Car not starting

Car not starting
Lexus IS 350 2007 when I push to strat car it acts like it willstart and then dont I then wait a few seconds and try and it doesnt then everytime on the third attempt it starts. Doesnt happen all the time but random times. What could this be?

wrong forum, but I will try to help. how many miles are on the car? it sounds like the car is having a hard time starting. this is typical of a push-to-start car where the car tries over and over again until the engine fires over. there are many contributing factors to a long start such as bad gas, no spark, compression, etc. when was the last time a tune up was done to the car?
