Hi RiChRolliN,
Welcome to ClubLexus. I had a very similar thing happen to my car last year: I had the window rolled down, I locked the doors and stepped away, and I came back to the car later. When I got back, I reached in through the door and unlocked the inner switch. When I tried to start the car, it would just not do anything.
What happened was I tripped the security system by unlocking the door from the inside and opening the door. You must unlock the door using the driver's door key cylinder to disable the anti-theft and allow your car to start again. Unfortunately, since you don't have the key to the lock cylinder on the door, try unplugging the battery for a few moments and plugging it back in as an attempt to reset the system. This is a temporary fix; you will need a new lock cylinder or a key to lock/unlock the door.
