Front Demister Light Flashing
 

The front heater light on my '98 LS was flashing this morning, accompanied by the sound of a flap repeatedly moving. (To tell you the truth, at first I thought it was somebody outside shovelling some dirt, or something!) It seemed to clear eventually. I am wondering whether this sort of thing will be resolved by a new battery, along with (possibly) the climate panel backlighting not working.
Anyone else on here experienced this?

New battery and the issue seems to have gone.
And climate button backlighting: Yes, it does work, but the bulbs I installed are much dimmer, being 12V 60mA. (I'm guessing the original ones are 8V - but if anyone has the spec I'd be very grateful).
