Default oh boy i HAVE DONE IT $200 DOWN DRAIN??

i posted the other day about buying a timing kit for my 197248 miles ls 400 1998
after advice i bought a kit but on lifting the hood today ...flat battery... found these stickers i show them below



so have i just bought what i dont need or keep just in case get another 400 or 430 ................

That recent belt looks like the accessory belt while the timing belt was changed 14 years ago at 62k so you need to change it ASAP.

I doubt that recent sticker is for the accessory belt. The images depiction looks like an i4's timing belt. With all those stickers I would personally put an eye on the belt. You can get a good idea of it's age that way.

you are posting in LS400 NONE of the belt diagrams is correct for a LS400...

I agree. The second sticker clearly shows a toothed belt. And the last sticker seems to be a T-belt as well: 2 cam pulley and one crank pulley, also google for SKF VKMA and see what comes up ... timing belt kits.

I think you've got 20k miles on your T-belt and do not need to worry.

So this belt was changed at 62k then 54k later changed again and lastly 60k later changed yet again? And all within a span of 11 years. I'm not doubting it but when the service interval calls for every 90k or 8 years that seems a bit wasteful unless there was some other reason to keep opening up the engine and the belt got changed just because they were there.
