Question about the rear pillar lights
I was just wondering. When you open the doors for the car, do these pillar lights also come on with any door opened or only when you press the button next to them?

the link you posted is not an LS light that I am familiar with.
on my 97, there are two lights near the grab handle/hanger hook. one is triggered via a on/off push button. then both lights turn on when that door is opened (not all doors) despite if the button is pushed. there is also a light (on some models) on the c-pillar which is the last pillar before the rear windshield. I don't have one so I'm not sure on its function but I would guess they turn on with the door as well.

OK... I checked on my 1998 last night. When I open the passenger door behind the driver's door, both of the lights above the entrance light up. I don't have any on the pillars.
That's all I know.

Yeah but I am asking about the 1990 to 1994 I think. I know 1995 to 2000 all the light turn on, but I am curious about 1990 to 1994. If you open the backseat door behind the driver's side, do both pillar lights turn on or just one of them?

I checked this on my '91 a couple of days ago.
On my car, those C-pillar(?) lights only come on when the button right next to it is pressed. And the two lights are independent. I confirmed my lights are still working by pressing these buttons (2-state = on/off).
Opening any of the doors in the car, whether the door light switch is set to ON/OFF/DOOR, does not affect these lights at all.
And BTW, based on your username (1997) and original question with no mention of year, I assumed you were looking for a later year and when Legender gave the answer for the 1998, I figured that would be more useful than my 1991.

As oldskewel covered, the small reading light comes on with the button on the light. The larger panel comes on when it's side's rear door is opened, along with the arm rest light in the door. Of course the front dome comes on with any door.
