Could someone please advise how to remove the ashtray from a 1997 LS400? The cig lighter socket is defective and needs to be replaced.

I am a smoker, I can not remove my astray from 94 LS400 to clean the ashes. I feel very bad about this but I already ask friends try to remove for me but they also can not.

Stop by dealer a few times in the past but I forgot to ask. Please help so I don't have to make a trip to the dealer.

Can't you just vacuum the ashes out? Or just dump the metal ashtry part in the garbage?

Thank you for your reponse. In the past, I put my nylon disposable gloves on everytime to clean the astray, vacumm is being clogged by the cigarettes butts.

My ashtray has a metal insert that can be removed for cleaning. No joke
