Troubleshooting a lone vsc light and it just bothers me how this light alone could mean so many things. Could we list what the vsc-off and check vsc could mean and some of the associated repair costs ?

generally it means you have a MINOR malfunction in your Lexus and it has no code for THAT fault...

LIKE your oring around your gas cap is not sealing properly... I had to change mine (actually took it off turned it over and put it back on)..using the unused side...

I think billydopwe is thinking of the Check Engine Light.

The Check VSC/VSC Off in 98-00 is usually due to a voltage issue or an ABS/throttle body issue. 9.5/10 it's low battery voltage/loose terminals or alternator related. Once those are corrected, it displays for a few minutes then goes away.

you could try unplugging your battery for 15 min plugging it back in and see if it goes away. It will come on briefly after first starting the car.

I personally had the Check VSC light come on from my alternator being bad. You should check if you have any other codes though!
