Default 93 LS400 ACV Valve

I tried to remove the ACV valve today and couldn't get a wrench on it from below. Do you have to remove the PS pump to get at it? I've looked at the other posts on this and haven't found if that's how you get at it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Banshee! It looks like I have to run out in the morning and get one of those.

With the alternator out of the way a wrench will do the job just fine. There are 2 fixes for one that leaks. The easiest is to replace the little o rings, and if the little brass pipe that sticks out of the seat, is messed up then only option (until a new seat is installed) is to drill a bolt to look like the end of the valve unit so it seats and seals correctly. It is not a tapered thread the only thing that will properly seal against the pressure is what I just said.

Look at the last post, it shows the bolt.
