Default Has anyone removed only the center resonator?

I like a quiet exhaust but would prefer to tweak this one just a notch. I see a few ways to do this, remove that center resonator and leave everything else stock. This seems like the easiest way. I could not find any videos of only that being done so I'm not sure what change it will make.

Remove cats and leave everything stock. I wouldn't do this unless one clogged up. I've done catless systems on my old 03 Cobra and my current CTS-V came that way, it's fine until you're sitting in traffic.

I could heat the mufflers up with my map gas torch, the insulation may lose some muffling ability. Or sometimes you can cut the muffler, peel back the metal, remove some insulation, and weld it shut.

The center resonator seems like the best way to make a slight change.

As I recollect past threads the center resonator is straight so removing it is very minimal. The muffler delete has been the most common.

do it, as i am curious to know the sound change when doing so. not very many folks opted to do this bc it involves a bypass pipe to be welded in, much harder to do than just unbolting the rear mufflers for a bigger growl!
