Suspension Maintenance on a 90 LS

This 90 vehicle has 192,000 miles & just had the following work done to restore OEM handling & quietness. Struts had been changed to Tokicos somewhere around the 110,000 mile mark & were left as is. I'm hoping that the part #'s provided match Toyota part #'s , but I'm not certain of this:

442505001084 Rebuilt Rack & Pinion
4432712010 P/S crush ring
------------------------------------------------------------ $575.00 parts & 417.14 labor

4867450030 Strut Rod Bushings

------------------------------------------------------------- $294.34 parts & 120.00 labor

Rear Knuckle bushings

--------------------------------------------------------------$164.00 parts & $160.00 labor

4863050020 Upper Control Arm ( Left )

--------------------------------------------------------------$412.28 parts & 160.00 labor

4881550121 Sway Bar Bushings Fr.

--------------------------------------------------------------$38.48 parts & 40.00 labor

A costly day , to be sure.

So..........

After all that, how's your ride? Hopefully a LOT smoother and quieter. Are these dealer prices?

Pricing

Jeff,

This is not dealer pricing. This is from Davenport ( a well respected Lexus only shop ) in Plano, Texas

One thing to keep in mind, when I talk about the results of all this work is that I drive a 94 LS 400 with 138,000 miles & no suspension work has been done on it at all. It needs new struts badly!
The vehicle on which this work was performed was my fathers.

In comparison to mine, the front end feels tight almost to the point of being heavy ( it seems like it takes physically more effort to steer it it ). This may be a new rack & pinion breaking in.

It is much more quiet & solid than what he was experiencing before ( and tighter than my 94 )

Dealer pricing would truly be scary.
