Default New to club Lexus questions about 180,000 tune up

I have been following club lexus for about a year now anytime I have a question about my 1992 LS400 this is where I come I'm just now becoming a member i have a 170,000 miles I was wondering what other mechanical things I should do well I'm doing my timing belt replacment/180,000 maintenance so far I'm putting in a mitsuboshi timing belt and drive belt, Aisin water pump, NTN tensioner, NSK and koyo idler pulley all new seals and gaskets, thermostat, doing a oil change with purolator pure One oil filter mobile 1 oil also doing the brakes I got r1 concept rotors and akebono brake pads also just installed a new wix air filter!!

sounds like you followed well for that year, bc you've hit pretty much everything. seals should include crank and both cam seals. the one thing i would add are new caps and rotors for the ignition, then might as well change the spark plugs too. i also suggest to use toyota long life coolant (red).

I got the Toyota red coolant in right now was considering doing spark plugs and wires probably will got the crank and both cam seals to

I was thinking either denso or NGK iridium spark plugs and same brands on the wires what would u suggest?

That's what I'm doing on my next service. I'm not sure when, or if it had been done by the previous owner.

I havnt found the NGK caps and rotors so I was just gonna get the Bosch ones with the NGK or denso plugs and wires

The "fan bracket," a cast Aluminum piece that holds the bearing for the fan, usually fails a little before the mileage you are at now. Replacing it takes you half way through the T-belt job. So if your fan bracket is original I would replace it when you have everything apart.

This is good advice, Aisin sells the fan bracket I believe and it is MUCH cheaper than the toyota branded part. Definitely worth replacing on a higher mileage car.

Thanks for all the help just ordered a aisin fan bracket now just waiting to get everything done next week I'm like a kid on Christmas morning it's driving my girl nuts that I'm paying more attention to the car then her lol

Also as I said I'm new to the site where could I find someone parting out a ls400 I'm looking for a new trunk lid mine has some peeling on the clear coat and I ordered the clear and red taillights so it would be the finishing touch on the car for the moment
