Default PS pump gasket Kit Mystery

1992 LS400

I'm rebuilding the PS pump. No problems really, but Toyota has confyoozed me with their gasket kit (04446-30173).

I'm down to the last two O-rings. All other parts have been successfully installed.

In the picture you see the two end pieces of the Flow Control Valve.
You also see the two remaining O-rings...one goes on the Union (left)
and one goes on the Spring Seat (right).

AS you can see, there is two O-rings of the same diameter, one is black and thick, and one is grey and not as thick.

THE PROBLEM is.... which part does the grey one go to?

Same diameter, but not the same thickness and possibly not the same material.

Thanks to anyone who might have a clue.

The documentation that came with the kit makes no mention of this at all.

Regards
L7
